London police came across a small marmoset inside a laundry bag on a bus last week. Staff noticed the lost animal on July 18. The animal was nervous and had no food while shivering. It withstood the harsh ordeal. Animal advocates described it an unlawful abandonment case. Meanwhile, researchers identified a previously unknown monkey species in Congo’s Lomami National Park. The discovery came during a regular survey in the Congo Basin.
