The Prince of Wales visited in July 2023 to see the extension, glasshouse, and gardens. Revenue from the Duchy funds the Duke's public, private, and charitable activities. Located on the Duchy estate and is part of a long-standing estate operation that opened to the public in 1975. The site has grown through a 50-year plan. The nursery is among the South West’s most respected nurseries. Duchy of Cornwall Nursery continues to expand facilities including a new extension and maintains a focus on nature and horticulture.
