UK (and polling cards / “poll cards”)
- You can vote without your poll card: if you’ve registered, you can still vote at the polling station by confirming your name and address (the poll card isn’t required to cast your ballot).[1]
- Your poll card mainly helps you with which station to go to and other details.[1]
- Important: UK elections may require you to bring accepted photo ID (and the poll card is not accepted as photo ID).[5]
US (voter registration card)
- If you’re in the US and referring to a voter registration card, you do not need to show your card to vote.[8]
