Clare Wright appeared at public events, as a prominent historian, famed for The Forgotten Rebels of Eureka (2013), portraying Eureka Rebellion through women’s perspectives. She has produced ABC history programs, such as Utopia Girls and The War That Changed Us. Wright holds a PhD from the University of Melbourne, heading public history projects at La Trobe since 2022, she has been on the NMA Council. 2020 saw Wright awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia. for services to literature and historical research.
