Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders is aiming to reclaim a prominent committee chairmanship in the upcoming Congress, VTDigger reports. Sanders told NBC News that Americans are urging significant change, not tinkering around the edges, and urged Democrats to advocate for universal healthcare. He also warned that the party cannot spend all its time investigating Trump while preparing to govern. Progressive organizers credit Sanders’s persistent governance plan for the comeback, noting his continuous push for political reform. Sanders insisted the focus must remain on medical care and financial fairness rather than endless investigations.
